Little slow on the uptake?

Monday, December 20th, 2010 by greenboy

Harry Reid finally notices that Repugs are stupid.  Well at least Senator Milquetoast is getting a little feisty!

On related topic – I would bet most of these guys vote Repug.

Idiocracy is nearly upon us

Aaaaacck!

What a complete fucking moron.  You’d think if  you were heading into the debate that would make or break your election chances, and you were planning to mouth off about the Constitution, you’d at least try reading the damn thing, right?  Or at least the First Amendment?

Unluckily for her, she’s not running in a dumbshit state(1,2,3) like Arizona, where her ignorance would undoubtedly have vaulted her ahead of Harry Reid.

(1) Arizonans think bringing guns in bars is a good idea

(2) Arizonans keep voting for McCain

(3) Arizonans having a good time

Speaking of stupid Republicans today it’s the Senate’s turn

Monday, March 1st, 2010 by greenboy

Swearing, yelling and flipping off reporters, Hillbilly Senator Jim Bunning carries on a one-man battle against extending unemployment benefits.  Seriously Senator?  I tell you what, if you feel so strongly about it, let’s just exclude benefits to Kentucky!  Come on Reid, don’t cut off his mic, cut off his Federal dollars spigot!

Meanwhile fellow Hillbilly Senator Lamar Alexander suffers either from an excess of hypocrisy or senility as he decries using the reconciliation process to pass legislation that the party of the minority plans to filibuster.

Why the hell are my tax dollars going to fund the folks in the states these idiots represent?

*Update*  This just keeps getting worse!  Democrat-in-Exile sent me this tip: Redneck Asshole Senator Inhofe is trying to intimidate climate scientists with McCarthyite witch-hunts.

Why Democratic Party leadership sucks

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 by greenboy

I’ve spent the last 8 years called the Republicans the Repugs.  But the Dumbocrats are also screwed up.  The one thing their devilish counterparts had going for them was party unity.  As wrong as they always were, they worked together like pack animals to destroy America.

Check out the Dumbocrats – on the eve of having a fillibuster-proof majority in the Senate – they can’t back their own man in the White House – the stupid jerk-wads won’t close Gitmo.  WTF?

Harry Reid has got to go!

My Senate hero du jour – Ron Wyden

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 by greenboy

Ron points out he tried to amend the Wall Street Con Artist bailout plan to cap executive bonuses, but his provision was stripped out.   He snipes at Obama a bit over the bungling of the Bailout II (which did happen on Obama’s watch), but I think the problem is still Harry Reid, the wrong man for the Senate Majority Leader position.

Ron and Senator Snowe are trying to reintroduce the provision as standalone legislation:

“… he and Snowe have a remedy: they are reintroducing their stimulus provision as a stand-alone bill, only they are getting even stricter with bailed-out institutions. Instead of capping bonuses at $100,000, they are lowering the level to $25,000. The law would cover all recipients of taxpayer TARP money, as well as those firms — like AIG — which have received money outside of the Troubled Asset Relief Program. And it would deal with bonuses issued in 2008. If a company refuses to give up the bonuses, the amount that exceeded $25,000 would be taxed at 35 percent.

“They are either going to have to pay it back or they are going to be taxed,” said the Senator. “And I think that is going to be pretty hard when they are already getting taxpayer money.”

Good luck Senator Wyden!

Has Senator Reid ‘grown a pair?’

Thursday, January 29th, 2009 by greenboy

For the last two years I’ve been begging the Dem majority leadership in the Senate to use every tool to smackdown the vile Repugs.  It looks like Harry Reid or somebody in the leadership has finally grown a pair and is playing hardball!  I’d like to see more of this!  Somebody should fly former California legislative leader Willie Brown in do D.C. to run a series of seminars on how to partisan smackdowns!

I never bought the whole ‘bipartisanship’ BS – after all, most of the Repugs are holdovers from the ‘date rape’ bipartisanship of the 4 years prior.  However, by the same token, this new WWF spirit needs to be tempered with actual change in the way Congress does other business.  In other words, we need to see an end to the corrupting special interest lobbying, pork barrel politics and earmarks buried in other legislation.   Otherwise, we’ve just substituted one set of venal pigs for another.
