Via LeftWord, Arizona GOP Leader Anthony Miller resigns after getting death threats from Tea Bagger Brownshirts.  Remember them protesting too much about complaints of Tea Bag racism?

“I wasn’t going to resign but decided to quit after what happened Saturday,” Miller told The Huffington Post Wednesday. “I love the Republican Party but I don’t want to take a bullet for anyone.”

Miller, who is black, said a number of the attacks were racially based. At an event in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Miller told The Huffington Post that someone called out, “There’s Anthony, get a rope.”

Sign of the times that this story got so little play.  Meanwhile, Jon Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity already a dim memory, Mark DeMoss officially disbands Civility Project in the face of Tea Bag nastiness.   The Reactionaries seem remarkably unrepentant and unwilling to tone down the hate talk, so I’m wondering where the next Reactionary assassination/spree killing will be.

What a complete fucking moron.  You’d think if  you were heading into the debate that would make or break your election chances, and you were planning to mouth off about the Constitution, you’d at least try reading the damn thing, right?  Or at least the First Amendment?

Unluckily for her, she’s not running in a dumbshit state(1,2,3) like Arizona, where her ignorance would undoubtedly have vaulted her ahead of Harry Reid.

After voicing his support for the recent wing-nut terrorist Joe Stack and his suicide air attack on the IRS, Steve King is now standing up for the little guy – the Washington lobbyists on K Street.  They are apparently his ‘go to’ guys for all his information regarding pending legislation!  Imagine that, getting all your campaign financing, legislative review and background information from one convenient source!

Has Mr. King taken over the Pombo mantle of Congressional venality?  How does an evil dumbfuck like that get elected anyway – they can’t be that stupid in Iowa, can they?

For the short term, I think Pelosi should strip Mr. King of his congressional staffers and aides, since he his needs can all be satisfied by K Street.

*Update 2/26/10* Please show your appreciation for Mr. King by donating to one of his two Democratic challengers in the Iowa 5th District, Matthew Campbell or Mike Denklau.  I prefer Mike, but I think Matt might have the edge in $ and seems more Iowan.  They said we couldn’t unseat Pombo here in CA, but McNearney is in Congress and Pombo is off shagging sheep, so it can be done!

*Update 2 2/26/10* Seems to be the day for asshole Republican Congressmen. Trent Franks believes African Americans were better off as slaves then they are today – some tortured argument involving abortion.  Let’s fund whomever runs against him!

I few weeks ago I was getting a cheap laugh at the citizens of Tennessee and their desire to legally mix moonshine with handguns.  But I figured it was a freak hillbilly thing, and we wouldn’t see other Red States rushing to recreate the Old West.

But I’ll be danged – here I am sitting in a bar in Phoenix reading the paper and guess what?  The folks in McCain Country will shortly follow suit, creating a toxic mix of booze, rednecks and firearms.

I better git outta Dodge pronto!
