"Slightly different foreign policy tone"? That's an impressive understatement. :-)

Personally, I shudder to think how McCain would have responded to the stolen election in Iran. And that's leaving aside what last-gasp effort he'd be making to impose our will on Iraq.

McCain really, really wanted the ability to drop bombs on somebody. For him, that's what "power" is all about.

Not to mention that the stimulus/bailout package, whatever its flaws, would have been replaced with larger, permanent tax cuts for the wealthy.

Add in healthcare, and you're talking about an enormous difference.

Out of curiosity, how do you see McCain's first seven months being much different from Obama's? Aside from pushing for health care legislation, and setting a slightly different foreign policy tone, I'm finding it hard to distinguish this administration from the last.
