Projection
psychological projection (or projection bias) is a defense mechanism in which one attributes one’s own unacceptable or unwanted thoughts or/and emotions to others. Projection reduces anxiety by allowing the expression of the unwanted subconscious impulses/desires without letting the conscious mind recognize them.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. The “fail” was directed at Broun because of his use of a reductio ad hitlerum against Obama as quoted in the linked article.
However, now that I think about it, one might argue that your “right back at ya’” response to Broun might be ill-advised since it allows one to dismiss your assertion on the same basis.
