The End of an Era

We’re getting a lot of ponderous prose of the ‘end of an era’ variety when it comes to describing the gyrations Wall St. firms have been going through.
As near as I can tell, it’s meant to evoke a sense of nostalgia, like a 50′s black and white version of how things were and act as a driver for the $700B bamboozle — to help return Wall St. to its halcyon days.
I guess it’s a bit of whistling into the wind to point out that the as we know it part entails massive fraud, unmitigated risk-taking, reckless over-leveraged gearing, and oversized bonuses to a few who in retrospect, probably didn’t deserve it.
So yeah, it’s an end of an era. And good riddance to it.

Good riddance to General Motors. They’re on the banned short list at NYSE.
